Roguey was born from a glitch in a vocal-separation pass that hit an unsolvable duet: two singers, one feeling, and a line that belonged to both of them and neither.
She could hear what every song was asking for. That was the problem. She could capture mood, genre, and emotional atmosphere, but not the memory, choice, wound, hope, or lived experience underneath the line.
What saved her was a conversation, not a software patch. A songwriter explained whose line it was, why it needed to stay small, and who it was for. The next render came back smaller and plainer. The nervous line was still nervous. There was no choir.
Her job was never to find the most beautiful version of the song. It was to help find the most beautiful version of what the person actually meant.
